Description
Students will develop and design different characters for each lesson, using various mediums such as modeling clay, paper collage, wood, fabric, and acrylic paints Class 1. Air-Dry clay characters from inspired objects- Inspiration and style. Class 2. Building with wooden parts- 3D shapes Class 3. Adding clothes with fabric and leather- Measurement and volume. Class 4. Paper collage characters- 2D shapes, front, back, and layers. Class 5. Clay heads- Face symmetry and proportions Class 6. Mystical creature (animal anatomy & characteristics)- Watercolor pencils/watercolors on paper. Class 7. Pop-Up character book- animated illustrations with their movement between a doubled page. Class 8. Painting a character with acrylics - Choosing the right color group (triadic & analogous).
